Return the completed contract with payment by mail, so that we can have your service activated prior to your arrival. You may also bring the completed form and payment to the Rental Office. Please note that group apartments should collect all payments together and submit one contract per apartment, signed by all tenants.

Question: How fast is the service?

Answer: IRIS is a system of building wide networks with built in Category 5 Ethernet cabling and 100MBPS full duplex switches. Traffic destines to or from the Internet is limited by the upstream connection to Road Runner Business Class, which consists of multiple 10x1.5MBPS connections. Traffic is balanced between the connections, and the maximum possible speed to the Internet would be 30x4.5MBPS.

Question: How is much does the service cost?

Answer: The fee per apartment is as follows:

· $300 for Studios and One Bedroom apartments

· $400 for Two Bedroom apartments

· $450 for Three Bedroom apartments

· $500 for Four and Five Bedroom apartments

· $600 for Six Bedroom apartments.

The term of service is from the date the fee is paid until the end date of the lease.

Question: What do I need to connect to IRIS?

Answer: Any computer equipped with an Ethernet card can connect to the service. There are no minimum system requirements, as no software is needed to connect.

Question: What type of cable do I use to connect to the service?

Answer: You will need a straight-wired Ethernet cable to connect to the jack in your apartment. If your service is wireless, you will need to get the User Name & Password card from the Rental Office.

Question: What settings do I need to use the service?

Answer: IRIS uses a DHCP server to assign all settings. You simply need to set your computer to automatically obtain an IP address.

Question: Can I have wireless access to the service?

Answer: If the service in your building is not already provided wirelessly by us, you may connect wireless networking equipment to any jack but you MUST secure the access point with one or more authentication or encryption method(s).
